Shopping Tips

We've worked hard to make your shopping experience on PQSC.org a simple, secure and pleasurable one. Occasionally we hear of users having trouble checking out of the store. We've found this is usually due to browser settings.

Follow the tips below to make sure your browser settings are correct. If you still experience problems, please call us at 1-800-555-7697 toll free.

  • Cookies Enabled. This site uses cookies to keep track of the items you add to your cart while you continue to shop. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser settings, or upgrade your browser if it doesn't support them. The cookie files used by PQSC.org are completely safe and allow for a seamless ordering experience.

  • Medium Security Settings. Your browser security setting should be set to Medium. This offers security while allowing for full functionality at most web sites. If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) set at the highest security level, cookies may be automatically "turned off". To determine your IE security level, click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen, select "Internet Options", and then click the "Security" tab. Please note that accepting cookies or adjusting your security setting will not affect site security: all credit card and personal information provided to PQSC.org is safe and secure.

  • SSL Support. To purchase products on our site, your browser and local network must support the use of encrypted data transmissions. This SSL technology is compatible with Netscape 3+, Internet Explorer 3+, AOL, Web TV and most other browsers. If you are connecting from an office or business location, check with your system administrator to determine if your network connection is compatible with SSL technology.

  • Java Script Enabled. Make sure Java script support is enabled in your browser settings, or upgrade your browser if it doesn't support them. The Java script files used by PQSC.org are completely safe and are only present to help ensure that users provide all the information needed to successfully complete an order. Nearly every browser is automatically set to support java scripts when the browser software is installed.

IE users: Turn java support on and off from within the "Security Settings" control panel. To access IE's security settings, click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen, select "Internet Options", and then click the "Security" tab. The Java options can be found by clicking on the "Custom Settings" button.

Netscape Navigator and Communicator users (versions 4.x and above): Enable and disable Java script support by clicking on the "Edit" menu at the top of the screen, select "Preferences", and then click the "Advanced" category. Check boxes allow you to enable and disable Java and Java script support.

  • Current Browser/Firewall Issues. If you click on the "Add to Cart" button and get no response, it is probably because you can't connect securely to our web server (the computer PQSC.org is hosted on). As a test, try going to https://www.microsoft.com. If you can't connect securely to Microsoft either, then you have a very, very old browser, in which case you should upgrade. Or you are behind a corporate firewall that won't allow secure connections. Ask your network administrator about this, or send us an email with your contact information to *************** and we will follow up with you.
