Why Become A Member?

The Service Center members is able to produce far more together than standing alone, their combined efforts are much superior. Through collaboration comes not only strength of purpose, but greater wisdom and finer results. So does collaboration really work in this time of competition? Posing this question to PQSC members brings the following responses:

  • “Cooperation can be a win-win situation"

  • "Deregulation poses some challenges, especially with resources. Efforts like this provide additional resources to help our customers."

  • "Forming alliances can be a powerful tool for getting work done. We may be hiring other utilities to work on certain areas for us in the future."

  • "We want to work together in areas of education, safety, and operation. Even though we may be competing for the same customer, there are areas where we will partner."

  • "With the availability of the same products, the differences may be in how much mileage we get by leveraging the use of those products, and using our dollars wisely."

Due to the efforts of the service center there are host of valuable materials capable of influencing and motivating energy users that would not otherwise have been produced. By working in collaboration to produce these materials we have learned more about the needs of customers than we would have individually
