About PQSC
The vision of this organization's founding members as captured in this segment from the original
business plan for the Service Center also speaks of the inherent value of this organization:
"As our work changes, it's obvious that competition must give way to cooperation. Throughout
our world, we are all facing the same challenges and the same opportunities. Attempts to solve
them individually make no sense - neither in resources, nor in fiscal responsibility to our
shareholders and customers.
The idea of utilizing the wealth of resources within our region, to form strategic
alliances specifically to tackle major issues we all face with specific regard to power quality,
is the viable alternative. The benefits are clear: more focused long-range planning; better long
term solutions; the ability to initiate and implement projects impossibly expensive for one - but
attainable when tackled together. In the long run, this process will attract and develop a strong
base of regional expertise, while at the same time, the sharing of information allows us to speak
to issues with a common voice. This then is the vision of PQSC."
